6.1 Are Plants and Animals Made of Same Types of Tissues?

6.2 Plant Tissues

6.2.1 Meristematic Tissue- These tissues help in the growth of plants. Besides, they are further sub-divided into three categories:

- Intercalary Meristem- The middle part of growing stem or roots located near the node.
- Lateral Meristem- The bottom part of growing stem or roots responsible for the girth.

6.2.2 (i) Simple Permanent Tissue- These are the most common type of tissues that consist of unspecialized cells like Parenchyma, Collenchymas, transverse section, etc. After this, the topic discusses the various other permanent tissues that we found in plants.
