In Air Around Us Class 6 Notes, the student will be studying air which exists around us i.e. about our atmosphere. The air occupies space. It fills all the space in the bottle. It is present everywhere around us. A thin layer of air surrounds the earth. The atmosphere is this layer that extends up to many kilometers above the surface of the earth.
The gases in the air are mainly Nitrogen, Oxygen, Carbon dioxide, and some other gases. Air helps in the movements of sailing yachts, gliders, parachutes and airplanes. Birds and insects can fly only due to the presence of air. It also helps in the dispersal of seeds and pollen of flowers of several plants. Air also plays a significant role in the water cycle.
