They used to gather food which was grown naturally. Even animals used to survive on this food. Gradually, humans started to learn to farm and started growing food. Around 12000 years ago, the earth started becoming warmer. And because of this plants, trees, and greenery started growing on the land. Animals were surviving on this land and increasing. Humans were also gathering food from these plants they could eat. Meanwhile, humans started to learn to farm. 

Humans observed the plants and seeds and started growing the plant they want. And when humans started growing plants, some animals like dogs, sheep, goats, started coming to a place where humans live.

Some of the earliest civilizations that were found are – Burzahom, Mehrgarh, Daojali Hading. Places where archaeologists found the evidence of farming are – Koldihwa, Gufkral, Chirand, Haller and more.

Humans also used to do hunting to gather food. Hunting, Gathering, herding, fishing, and Growing plants were some methods for collecting the food.
