Summary of Chapter 12 – Buildings, Paintings, and Books

1500 years ago, Kings and Queens used to spend a lot of treasury on building temples. Plants, minerals were used to produce color used for painting these buildings, and temples. The famous Amravati Stupa was built in this era. And it can be still seen in Amravati, Maharashtra. 

Do you know who wrote Mahabharata? It was Ved Vyasa who wrote it in Sanskrit 1500 years ago, which is a very interesting story about the war between Kauravas and Pandavas. 

When it came to ancient paintings, it was divided into three categories – mural, miniature, and using other removable media like fabrics, wood, scrolls, and papers.
