In this, you will study the human excretory system which consists of a pair of the kidney, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and their functions.
19.2 – Urine Formation
In this, you will study about formation of urine which takes place in following steps filtration of blood through 3 layers, reabsorption by renal tubules, secretion of H, K < ammonia ions in the filtrate.
19.3 – Function of the Tubules
In this, you will study the function of tubules which has proximal convoluted tubules (pct), Henle’s loop, distal convoluted tubules (dct), collecting duct.
19.4 – Mechanism of Concentration of the Filtrate
In this, you will study the mechanism of concentration of filtrate.
19.5 – Regulation of Kidney Function
In this, you will study the regulation of kidney function which is monitored by the hormonal feedback mechanism of hypothalamus and JGA.
19.6 – Micturition
In this, you will study micturition which is the process of expulsion of urine from the urinary bladder.

In this, you will study the disorders of the excretory system which are uremia – high concentration of non-protein nitrogen, renal failure – glomerular filtration is ceased and both kidneys stops working, renal calculi – formation of stone, glomerulonephritis (bright’s disease) – inflammation of glomeruli of the kidney due to the entry of protein.
