CBSE Class 5 Maths Chapter 11 – Area and its Boundary NCERT Solutions
First of all, let discuss an area. The area is the quantity that describes the amount of 2D surface cover. Also, it is the measurement of the surface. And the boundary refers to the line that divides the surface. In simple words, the area refers to the surface and the boundary refers to the outline of the area. Apart from that, the Chapter first explains the topics and they in the same topics ask students for solutions. In other words, the topics contain the exercises.

11.1 Whose Slice is Bigger? – In this topic, Parth and Giri buy aam papad from a shop. Then they try to figure out whose slice is bigger.
11.2 Cover with Stamps- In this topic students have to find out how many stamps they can put in the given rectangle.
After that, there is a fill in the blank exercise linked to the above topic. And then there is a “Practice time” exercise.
11.3 My Belt is Longest! – In this topic, students have to cut a postcard to make a belt out of it. After that, they have to measure whose belt is the longest.
11.4 Puzzle: Pass through a Postcard- In this activity, the student has to cut a postcard in a way that they can pass through it.
11.5 People People Everywhere- In this topic students have to make two squares of 1 square meter each. And then divide their class into two teams.
11.6 Share the Land- In this topic the problem of Nasreena a farmer is talked about. Also, she wants to divide her property equally to her 3 children.
After this, there is one more exercise which goes by the name “Practice Time”.
11.7 Thread Play- In this topic students have to take a 15 cm thread. After that, they have to make different shapes on the given sheet using the thread.
11.8 Save the Birds- In this students have to decide which lake to save for the birds.
11.9 King’s Story- In this topic and activity, the story of a king is discussed. The king is happy with the work of carpenter Cheggu and Anar. The carpenters had made a big and beautiful bed for the king. And the king rewards them with separate things.
