1.1: INTRODUCTION
As we know that integers from a bigger collection of numbers which contains whole numbers and negative numbers. In this chapter, the student will study more about integers, their properties, and operations.
1.2: RECALL
In this section, the student will learn about the concepts of numbers similar to the previous class.
1.3: PROPERTIES OF ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION OF INTEGERS
Students will learn the addition and subtraction operations about integers.
1.3.1: Closure under Addition
WE have learned that the sum of two whole numbers is again a whole number. This property is known as the closure property for the addition of the whole numbers.
1.3.2: Closure under Subtraction
WE have learned that the difference between two whole numbers is again a whole number. This property is known as the closure property for the subtraction of the whole numbers.
1.3.3: Commutative Property
We can add whole numbers in any order. So, addition is commutative for whole numbers.
1.3.4: Associative Property
Whole numbers are also following the associative property.
1.3.5: Additive Identity
When we add zero to any whole number, then we get the same number. Thus zero is an additive identity for whole numbers.
1.4: MULTIPLICATION OF INTEGERS
We can multiply integers to get another integer. In this section, the student will learn how to multiply integers.
1.4.1: Multiplication of a Positive and a Negative Integer
This topic explains with the help of examples that while multiplying a positive integer and a negative integer we will get a negative integer.
1.4.2: Multiplication of two Negative Integers
This topic explains that while multiplying a negative integer and a negative integer we will get a negative integer.
1.4.3: Product of three or more Negative Integers
In this topic, student will learn that if the number of negative integers in a product is even, then the product is a positive integer otherwise the product is a negative integer.

The product of two integers always gives an integer.
1.5.2: Commutativity of Multiplication:

We know that one is the multiplicative identity for whole numbers. It is the multiplicative identity for integers as well.
