1. THE HOT DESERT – SAHARA:

Sahara desert in Africa is the world’s largest hot desert. It touches 11 countries and has gravel plains and elevated plateaus with a bare rocky surface.

1. Climate: The climate of the Sahara Desert is scorching hot and parched dry as high temperature as 50 degrees. The nights are freezing cold with temperatures nearing zero degrees.
2. Flora and Fauna: Vegetation in the Sahara Desert are cactus, date palms and acacia. Camels, hyenas, jackals, foxes, scorpions, many species of snakes and lizards are the main animal species found here
3. People: Despite the harsh temperature, various groups of people are living here. The main groups are Bedouins and Tuaregs

2. THE COLD DESERT – LADAKH:

It is a cold desert existing in the Great Himalayas, on the eastern side of Jammu and Kashmir. The altitude in Ladakh is from about 3000m in Kargil to more than 8,000m in the Karakoram. Because of its high altitude, the climate is extremely cold and dry. The area having freezing winds and burning hot sunlight.

1. Flora and Fauna: Because of high aridity, the vegetation is sparse. There are rare patches of grasses and shrubs for animals for theirs. Groves of willows and poplars are available. in the valleys, THE wild goats, wild sheep, yak and special kinds of dogs are the animals of Ladakh. The animals are here to provide milk, meat, and hides.
2. People: The population of people is here either Muslims or Some famous monasteries are Hemis, Thiksey, Shey and Lamayuru Buddhists.
