CBSE Class 7 Maths Chapter 5 – Lines and Angles NCERT Solutions
The line refers to a long band that connects with the help of minimum two dots. On the other hand, Angles refer to space (measured in degree) between to connected lines that intersect each other at a point.

5.1 Introduction
This topic deals with lines like what are lines and how to make them. Also, the topic covers line segment, line, and ray with the help of an example.
5.2 Related Angles
Those angles which relate to each other in some way.
5.2.1 Complementary Angles- Those angles whose sum on measurement is 90o are complementary angles.
5.2.2 Supplementary Angles- Those angles whose sum on measurement is 180o.
5.2.3 Adjacent Angles- Those angles who have a common side but don’t overlap each other are adjacent angles.
5.2.4 Linear Pair- Those angles which form on the same base and make both supplementary, and adjacent angles are linear pair.
5.2.5 Vertically Opposite Angles- Those angles which form on the same base and are on the different side of each other are vertically opposite angles.
5.3 Pairs of lines
Pairs of lines refer to those lines which intersect each other at an angle.
5.3.1 Intersecting Lines- Those two lines which meet other at a point are intersecting lines.
5.3.2 Transversal- Transversal is a line that intersects two or more lines at a point.
5.3.3 Angles made by a Transversal- The different angels made by a transversal while intersecting each line are complementary, supplementary, linear, and adjacent.
5.3.4 Transversal of Parallel Lines- The angles made on parallel lines by a transversal make corresponding angles and are equal in measure.
5.4 Checking for Parallel lines
This topic deals with ways by which we can conclude whether the lines are parallel or not.
