Thermodynamics Class 11Â Revision Notes
Thermodynamics Class 11 Notes – The chapter tells that thermodynamics deals with energy change. Also, thermodynamics energy changes into the chemical and physical processes and enables us to study these changes to make useful predictions. Furthermore, chemical or physical processes lead to top evolution or absorption of heat, which may convert into work. Moreover, the first law of thermodynamics relates to them. Besides, the magnitude of the rise in temperature depends on the heat capacity of a substance. In addition, at constant volume heat transfers from one object to another. Also, there are varieties of enthalpy changes. These include melting, sublimation, and vaporization.
Usually, all these changes occur at constant temperature and we can categorize them by enthalpy. Moreover, these changes are always positive. Furthermore, Hess’s law can help to calculate Enthalpy of formation, combustion, and other enthalpy changes. Besides, enthalpy is the measure of disorder or randomness. Also, for a spontaneous change, the total enthalpy change is positive. In addition, enthalpy change can be measured with the help of an equation. Moreover, a chemical reaction is generally carried at constant pressure. Most noteworthy Gibbs energy is also described in the chapter.
