A widower, Atticus raises his children by himself. He got help from the helpful neighbors and a black housekeeper maid Calpurnia. The only neighbor who baffles them is the mysterious Arthur Radley (Boo), who never comes outside. They start spending the summer with Dill, another neighbor’s nephew, in Maycomb. The three children begin an obsessive and always try to pull Boo outside.

Scout is a tomboy who likes to solve the differences with her fists. Scout perceives the knowledge to not be a scholastic affair but to be a more practicable quotient found on the streets. Someday Scout and Jem come across that their father is going to represent a black man named Tom Robinson, who is accused of raping and beating a white woman. Due to this Scout and Jem have to tolerate bombardment of racial slurs and insults in society. Scout finds it difficult to stop physically fighting with other children. Although it is her tendency that gets her in trouble with her Aunt Alexandra and Uncle Jack.

Atticus interrupts and reports the meeting that Tom Robinson had been killed in an escape attempt. Slowly things turned to normal in Maycomb, and Scout and Jem realize about Boo Radley that he is no longer an all-consuming curiosity. The story appears to be a stress-free subject, but then Bob Ewell’s threat of revenge started making good. Scout plays the part of ham at Halloween pageant at school. Jem decides to take scout to school as both Atticus and Alexandra did not attend. Scout elects to leave her ham costume on for the walk home with Jem, due to embarrassed on stage.

On the way home, the children hear some noises, but opinionate that the noises are coming from another friend who scares them generally. Suddenly, a scuffle occurs after that the scene is full of complications because scout can’t see due to her costume. But she hears that Jem being pushed away also she feels powerful arms squeezing her costume’s chicken wire against her skin. Due to the attack, Jem breaks his arm badly. Scout realizes that some stranger carrying Jem back to their house.

Meanwhile, the sheriff reports the Finch house that Bob Ewell has been found dead under the tree where the children were attacked, having fallen on his own knife. Scout finds that the stranger is Boo Radley itself, and he is actually responsible for killing Ewell. Thus he saved their lives. Atticus was contrary to the announcement, but the sheriff refuses to press charges against Boo. Scout agrees with this decision and explains her understanding of her father. After seeing Jem one more time, Boo asks Scout to take him towards home. With Boo Scout returns to Jem’s room where Atticus was waiting. Then he reads her to sleep and waits by Jem’s bedside for his son to wake up.
